Indoor Planters

Our PLA (Polylactic Acid) planters are best suited for indoor use. PLA will only hold up to about 140F or 60C before deforming or starting to melt. It also won’t hold its color particularly well if left in the sun. If left in the sun, the colors of these planters will fade over months and years.

We have several models to choose from; some have a detachable base to keep the roots more dry. All planters will retain small amounts of water. However, be careful not to overwater as it may drip through the plastic due to the way 3d printing process works to layer tiny lines of melted plastic together.

The wood PLA planters below are made with a rather unique material that’s comprised of 30% real wood fibers, giving them a wonderfully rich color and texture. If you so choose, you can even use a torch to burn patterns onto the planters (a Japanese technique called Shou Sugi Ban)! Additionally, you can also attempt to stain these wood PLA planters if you would like to alter the coloring (slightly).
